what would be the most ideal age difference between kids?
Re: Age difference b/w kids?
9 months.
1-3 yrs. My sister and i have a 7 yr age gap (shes younger) & i haaaaaaatttteeeeeedddddd her for the longest time lol. We were both always in diff stages of life…we’re extremely close now but yeah. I want my kids to be close in age.
Re: Age difference b/w kids?
There is not a specific age difference it’s only when you are ready for the next one, my baby is almost 2 I m still not thinking of number 2.
Re: Age difference b/w kids?
1-3 years sounds right. 5, 6, or 7 years gap sounds too much.
Re: Age difference b/w kids?
too much or too little is a very personal choice- there is no right answer. i don’t see how a particular age gap can be defined as “ideal” since every parent is so different, has a different number of kids, and each kid has a different temperament too! a high maintenance child might not take kindly to a new sibling when they’re 2 or 3, and an easy going child might not even notice they’re there! my kiddo is 18 months mA and i’m flip-flopping between when to have another. the closeness scares the crap out of me but i’m going to be 34 soon iA and i don’t really want to wait until i’m 38 or 39 to have another one so i might just bite the bullet.

Re: Age difference b/w kids?
I was an only child for 5 years, age gaps are not a big deal, all it does is force you to make friends faster.
Re: Age difference b/w kids?
a classmate’s baby brother was born when she was 16! i still remember sitting in class when the news came.
Re: Age difference b/w kids?
9 months to a year…the age difference between the first and the last child must be like 45-50 years. ![]()
Re: Age difference b/w kids?
I have 15 years between my oldest and youngest. It doesn’t really matter what matters is what you and your spouse are comfortable with.
I didn’t plan my last pregnancy, and I feel my youngest completed my family. My husband said more the merrier!!!
Re: Age difference b/w kids?
ideal age difference is 1-3 years for bonding.
It’s harder for the parents but the siblings are closer. They have the same routine. The same phases. So to the same schools and share friends. There is also compatibility for interests and books and level of understanding.
my younger sibling is 11 years younger and we are close but we didn’t share the same experiences that I did with my siblings who is only 2 years younger than me.
