the only thing i have against this tournament is that india actually got a chance to make up for their initial loss to sri lanka, whereas pak's only loss cost them a possible spot in the finals. and of course, missing out on the bonus point is annoying. needless to say its the most bogus of innovations in this game.

ok guys. I didn't intend for this thing to get this heated. I just wanted to give a little bit of a teeli and from the look of it I succeeded very well. :D
Seriously speaking though I think there is little to choose between Pakistan and India in ODIs. India's got a fantastic batting lineup. and Pakistan's got a useful attack when the radar is on.
Sri Lanka did not win because they have better bowling than Pakistan or better batting ability than India but simply because their batting and bowling supported each other. they were organized and efficent. and perhaps most importantly, they were also playing in Lanka where they are very difficult to beat anyway. and on top of that they didn't have any one off bad days like Pakistan and India did.
as a Pak fan I still think that the bonus points system is unfair (yes, you can call that sour grapes). but at the same time the boys didn't show enough urgency when Pathan and Tendulkar were batting to try and deny them a bonus point. so it's their fault too for not reading the opposition well enough and obviously for having a terrible game against SL that put them under so much pressure.
Holland cup will be the real test of strength for both India and Pakistan when they go against the best of the best. So, chill and enjoy the game. :)

india did not beat sri lanka (the other two matches they played against them show that they were never capable of doing so)....
sri lanka decided to let india win so they wont have to face pakistan in the final....
atleast quit the beghayrti and dont boast of a win u know was gifted to u just cuz u were the weaker opponent srilanka cud chose....

tell me you are kidding. Coz no one can be this stupid and flaunt it with so much pride. SL decided to let India win..yeah right And yet they faught till their last breath.
And what TWO matches armu? With the exception of final, every match between india and sl was a close game. A victory of 13 runs is NOT good enough to say they beat India convincingly. If this match was enough for them to label India weak, what did they make of Pak after beating them convincingly enough? And don’t tell me they got scared coz Pak scored 340 against bangladesh or whoever.
SL beats Pak real bad, Pak beats India real Bad, SL has a hard time beating India, India barely beats SL. Now from the given tally, it was a real tough choice to make between Pak and India, don’t ya think?
No amount of rational arguements are gonna help u to snap out of this mind-set. You have to keep telling yourself India sucks just to keep the Pakistani in you happy( and here I am talking about you alone). Pls refer to Sambrilian’s above post for some wisdom. I agree with him totally.
