was Tendulkar playing for the bonus point again? if yes, did India get it? is there going to be a “real” final played after this on the basis of just the bonus points?
How many thrid place finishes can Pakistan stand in a tournament?
what's the point of playing in a final and getting humilated? actually what's the point of playing something like 13 finals and getting hammered in about 12 of them.
What is the point of playing a game and getting beat? IS this a pakistani mindset? SO much for sportsmanship. Better to play than to not having played at all. It is like love.
true that. I think India should disband its team after this debacle of a final.
Why should it do that? It is more fun to see Pakistan squirm and chafe at not having gotten the chance. :D

Pakistan beat India by 59 runs.
Yes and still couldn;t make it to the finals. what good is that win? THe cup will go to one team, SL in this instance. So Pak and India are the same, losers in this tournament. Hota hai yaar...I am happy for the Buddhists. They deserve it. Peace and all.
I am happy for SL as well.

aren't you the same guy who was consoling himself after the aussies did what they did in the '03 world cup final by the fact that India beat Pakistan earlier and in your own words "that is the one that mattered". now personally I disagree with that but why do the rules change now?
A victory margin of 59 runs is considered pretty comprehensive in cricket but you wouldn't know. so, let me give you an analogy to help better understand the situation. one run is like one slipper. 59 runs is like 59 slippers. therefore, a 59 run win can also be called a chittar parade. nome sayn?
The difference is that Pakistan is not in the Finals. NEVER had a chance to compete for the trophy. Pakistan should be happy because they beat INdia, but in the end they lost in the tourney and never had a chance to play for the ultimate prize.
Whether you lose by 500 or 1. You lose. THat is the point.

you call what India did just now competing? I guess I had the wrong definition of compete all along. from here on, to compete a team must fail to chase a subpar total of 229 or less. ok, Matsui?
in the ODI rankings, its the number of ODIs won that matter....
and pakistan will go home proud with 80% victory ratio....
india will be happy with their 50% wins????
How did Pak do against SL? It could have been worse...but not for the superior Pak bowling.
as woolmer put it, one bad day at the office....
what was it for india????
"that time of the month" again????
good point, Matsui. wish we also had a Tendulkar who could’ve guided us to a bonus point and helped himself to some more personal glory in the meanwhile. ![]()
but damn these Pakistani players. they don’t play for draws in ODIs.
winning is overrated. Draw zindabad. You are right, I would rather bat like a pussy for a bonus point against my archrival rather than trying to win.

ahhahahah don't waste your time on this guy. He's so full of it.
I clearly recall that during the 2003 World Cup, he was saying that all he cared about was beating Pakistan and it did'nt matter to him that India got thrashed by the Aussies in the final....
What happened different perspective now :)
really, tendulkar did it again. I have been trying to ignore his spineless performance for long now. But this really does it. Maybe it's time to knock some sense into his head.
And as for India..we are back to being our ownself. Choking under pressure, that is what we do best. Sheesh!
CB, dn't get so down. It is a game. Meanwhile LLoyd's Bank announced it will outsource 2000 jobs to India.
