A gup is literally a chat between individuals be they two or more in a grouping. For example the topic could be cricket matches or something here the content or core topic is ussually a true event and thus it is true... however it is often opinionated so when someone say's for example "today Afridi must have been blind to miss that catch" literally he is giving an opinion of a true event, whilst not neccasarily Afridi is blind the fact remains the same he missed a catch....
That is the fundemental difference Mirch bhai.
Forgive me if theres a mistake but thats the answer to the best of my knowledge in laymans terms.
