You should use a toner instead of an alcohol based aftershave, as the latter will only dry your skin out. Toners contain vitamins and minerals which are good for your skin!!!
Zirh, Kiehls, Menscience, Murad and Clinique are good brands which have decent toners for men.

there are non alcohol based aftershave lotions out there so not just toners. but yes toners work great.
