Afterlife

Are we going to remember our parents? If someone is missing from our family in heaven, will we realize this, and realize that person may be in hell?

:o

Re: Afterlife

i don’t think I am going to heaven. I am gonna miss those virgins :bummer:
btw, do girls get anything? like virgin boys or free stream of dramas ?

Re: Afterlife

We get “fresh boys”, or something like that.

:stuck_out_tongue:

Re: Afterlife

yes, they are called “GhilmaaN”…

i think if parents and children end up in heavens, they will be reunited. as far as other siblings and parents not making to the jannat, since every soul is guaranteed to be a “Happy Soul”, i believe that they will be erased from our worldly memories as if they never existed.

Re: Afterlife

maybe pcg you get all your rishta guys like Lizard, #2](http://www.paklinks.com/gs/usertag.php?do=list&action=hash&hash=2) , Botanical boy etc

Re: Afterlife

will you plese elaborate on the red part?

Re: Afterlife

thanx for 'LIKE"-ing my post.

i’ve heard and heard from scholars about the ‘life’ in jannat. it’s mentioned that no one in jannat will ever experience sadness/grief. they will always feel their ‘best’. no worries, no grief, no concerns. so, in a way, every soul in jannat has been guaranteed to live a ‘HAPPY’ life.

as per above guaranties, it will NOT be possible for him/her to be happy, worry-free, grief-free life KNOWING that one of your parents/grand parents/sibling or any of your loved ones is in jahannam. would he/she? no?

it’s safe then to say that these facts will be either hidden from us OR it will be erased from our worldly memories, if any.

Allaho Akbar!

Re: Afterlife

I would like to understand how hell and heaven work. If you are placed in hell, does that mean it’s eternal?

OR, do you go to hell, get your saza, and then granted access to heaven?

and from your post, I see that once you are in heaven, you stay there forever.. correct?

Re: Afterlife

yes and yes…to both of your questions.

Muslims will come out of jahannum after their prescribed time of punishment is over…so, they will eventually will go to jannat. however, those who did NOT accept Islam, they will stay till eternity but their severity of punishment may vary considering their services to mankind or the goods they did in their worldly life.

yes, unlike jahannam, those who are destined to jannat will remain there till eternity. again their level of comfort and privileges will vary according to their taqwa and the way they died. a shaheed [true shaheed, not the ones declared by politicians :cb:], will have the highest level, like to see Allah whenever desired, to be in the company of the Prophet [saws] and saHaaba-e-karaam [ra, ajmain].

i hope i was able to answer your question

wallaaho 'aalam bissawaab!

I always was told that if one is in hell, he is in hell forever.

And KKF, I am so upset at the thought of my close ones being vanished frm my memory forever. :frowning: may Allah guide all of us to the right path.

Re: Afterlife

aameen, summa aameen.

yes, i agree that in this world it’s a painful thought to know that they will be wiped out from our memory. that’s one of the reasons that we must remind each other and pray for each other to make sure that we are all reunited in jannat. one of the du’aas my dad used to read regularly that May Allah unite us ALL in the jannat and hence guide us ALL of us to the right path and forbid us from the path that leads astray. vo ham namaaz meN roz paRhte haiN na k:

ehdinassiraatal mustaqeem assiraatal ladeena an’amta 'alaihim Ghairil maGhdoobe 'alaihim wa lad du’aa~lleen. aameen

Re: Afterlife

I was told that believers ../ who believe in Allah mian, would be sent to heaven after they have suffered for their sins in hell. Only non-believers stay there forever. Not sure though … but I don’t want to be in hell forever

Re: Afterlife

not necessarily in the hell.

sins are forgiven by sickness, in the grave, during Hashr and you may sit in between hell and heaven if your sins and good deeds equal and Allah sends you to heaven [upgrade to first class ;)] through his blessings.

so, getting sick in this world and dying of horrible diseases can be a punishment for you to shed your sins in this world so you go to heaven clean on the Day of Judgement. one MUST be thankful to Allah even if he/she is suffering from it and having pains of terminal disease.

one of my uncles had cancer and before he died he had lots of pain and suffering but he never ever complained till the end. he would always say…alHamdolillah, it could have been lot worse. TRUE!
