So how does these things go after you are married.
Like if you are invited somewhere, are you expected to inform your spouse in advance,
do you need to decide mutually on the gifts etc.
and if you are going to contribute financially for someone’s wedding/medical etc then should one need to let the spouse know about it? take his/her consent?
Re: After you are married
Its a spouse we are talking about, not a roommate.
When unmarried, we discuss everything with parents, siblings, kids etc…so why not with spouse as well.
Re: After you are married
It’s just common courtesy. If I discuss all of this with my parents I can certainly discuss with my spouse. Even though our finances are separate being transparent always helps although it’s not advisable obviously if a person is with someone abusive.
Re: After you are married
Of Course you should let him know in advance then he can plan his alone time. Both don’t need to be involved in gifts, if you contribute you just have to inform and no need for consent if it is your own earnings.

Agreed.
