After waxing/threading

I almost always get alot of redness and tingling around the area that i get threaded.
sometimes i see other customers getting their face waxed or threaded and it looks perfectly normal, no redness or anything.

i got my face waxed and threaded today…not a pretty sight right now. i guess my skin is pretty sensitive…it doe sget better after a few hours but i’d like for there to not be any irritation. any tips on how to lessen the irritation?

Re: After waxing/threading

hmm, not sure how you can lessen the amount of reaction you get.

But to help it calm down a lot faster, Witch hazel gel - like this one.

test patch it first to make sure you don’t get a reaction.

Re: After waxing/threading

witch hazel really calms the skin and reduces redness after waxing or threading...i also felt that not having the beautician massage brows with lotion also prevents my skin from getting irritated and red so I just go home and rub a little witch hazel and everything looks okay!

Re: After waxing/threading

^ Oh really?? i thought the massage would be beneficial. hmmm.

Re: After waxing/threading

Ice it maybe? :hmmm:

Witch hazel, cool aloe vera gel, rosewater and calamine lotion! All help calm the skin and reduce redness and irritation.

Re: After waxing/threading

so the redness and swelling has gone down, but now there are like hundreds of tiny red dots…and they itch. any way it’ll get better by sunday? :teary1:

Calamine lotion will help! Get it!
