asalam-o-alikum
my sister has done mba (general) which includes all the subjects such as marketing ,finance , HR etc(i know wrong choice) and now she is doing a meger job at a bank with a very low salary that a person with a b.com qualification can do and very little or slow hope of permotions
what i would like to ask is what should she do after mba to improve her chances for a better job and salary .AND SHE IS NOT GOOD IN FINANCE AT ALL .what should she study next

Why do you think it was a bad choice, there are many people with a general MBA doing very well. Experience, Aptitude, Network, quality of school, right opportunity at right time are all important.
Not sure where you are but job market these days for new grads is pretty bad.
Additionally banks don't just need people who are finance gurus, banks have MIS, operations, marketing, HR and other needs as well.
Before people start throwing certifications around, the questions are, what is she good at, what is she interested in, and what you or others in your family can do to introduce her to senior people in some growing companies.

It seems your sister is in Pakistan. Believe me if she has just started out she is doing well. No one even hires B coms for banks any more. unless they have tons of connections. hang in there, once she has experience your sister will do well IA!

i said that cuz where ever she went for an interview they said they perfer a mba student with a specialization in a specific field

I am assuming she went for an MBA without much work experience and not LUMS or IBA?
That could create some challenges in early career, over qualified and under experienced. The salary may not be what MBAs with experience or from better schools are getting to start with, but compared to her non MBA peers she will be on a better trajectory long term, she will have to plan, and work on career growth though and it may require some jumps to different companies or groups within her company.
For functional specifications, it all depends on her interest and career path aspirations.
Nowadays just an MBA won't do any favors. Your sister needs to check out some professional qualifications like CIMA, PIPFA or ACCA. These days job market is very saturated.

Depends on where the MBA is from, and what the pre MBA experience was.
Ideally both, but at minimum one has to be strong.

Need to search better jobs and do this job while search new opportunity. She can join sites like rozee.pk and search finance or banking jobs where she will find good jobs with good salary packages.
