on the good side..what he may mean is that when you are married you have to make decisions keeping in mind they impact someone else, I felt that way when i got married and not in a bad way but some examples are i could not just be out and about at all hours or make a plan at the drop of a hat to go hang with friends in a different city for the weekend etc.
Otherwise, Not a good sign. I think you need to have one calm discussion where you must make sure that you dont get upset and try to find the answers to the questions, he may get upset and not answer them and getting into an argument is a great way to end a discussion. so find out what he means and make your decisions accordingly.
I dont think the ladies here want to give divorce advice Xtron…I think they actually dont ever want to be the ones to say it. BUT if you see someone being abused or treated unfairly…what else would you say to them? I dont think abuse has any place in a marriage and thats all there is to it.
Okay then you have your answer right there…he didnt mean it in a bad way. He is simply being realistic and giving you reasonable expectations. I dont think its bad if your husband asks you to consult with him before doing things.
