does anyone have experience that they would like to share about after they did the isthikhara how did they make their choice .. what happened that led you up to your final decision .. was it a content feeling , more confidence in that direction or dream .. or what ?.. and after you took that decision how is your life going ? .. did you feel that the isthikhara helped .. are you satisfied ? happy ? pleez help i need it
You may share your feeling/dream. If you are content and more confidence in one direction then its mean you are on right way and you may proceed with that option. Religiously, it helps because Allah takes the responsibility of your decision.
iv read that some people do it repeatedly .. should i do that ? .. and how do i know what Allah wants .. going with the flow of things .. how they work out by themselves .. is that what ALLAH wants ? .. i got a good feeling right immediately after i did the isthikhara this morning but not now 5 hours after ?.. i guess its too soon .. i dont know if its anxiety now or the feeling im supposed to get
I did isthikara Every night I would go to bed and wake up like someone shook me up...it was sudden, not the normal "rouse from sleep" feeling I usually wake up from. I would find that things that were next to me when I went to bed were not in their place in the morning...and I would scramble around trying to find them even if I left it on the nightstand. I only saw a dream once and saw all black. I generally didn't have a good feeling in my heart :/ Now I look back and think it was for the better although sometimes I do wonder how my life would have been had I gone a long with the desicion. I guess sometimes things arent good for you and it make take months or years to find out. Or maybe sometime you never will find out you just have to have faith in Allah (Swt) that everything is for a reason.

do it repeatedly. once you feel no anxiety you are good to proceed.
Isn't the whole point of istikhara that you do it once and be content with whatever answer you've been given. if you want to repeat it then there has to be a period lapse right, cos otherwise you will just be forcing the will by trial and error

Ulema recommend to repeat it in odd number. However, it is also ok to do it any number of time until your mind and heart feel ok/bad about given choice.
I did Istikhara for 2 major things in my life : 1) when I was deciding a career path 2) when we had a rishta that was becoming serious:
#1: Things just ended up working out for me with a particular field. It seemed as if doors seemed to be opening and I was content with going in that particular direction.
#2: Things were going absolutely great. I started doing Istikhara every night before bed. There were no dreams, though my mom claims she was doing it and saw a good one, but things got weird. Everything seemed to go wrong all of a sudden and then it just ended rather abruptly.
We tend to forget what we’re saying when we make dua in Istikhara. That if the particular thing is good for me then to make it easy and put barkat in it and if it’s bad to have God take it away from us and replace it with something better. There isn’t anything in the dua that says that there’ll be a dream: it’s to take things away or to make things easier and progress a certain way. So you won’t necessarily see a dream but you can see it in the way things progress. If things are going well and you make dua and all of a sudden there’s obstacle after obstacle (as was the case with my situation) then that might be your answer.
Did it when a rishta became serious and we were making engagement plans etc after doing it literlly 2 days later it all fell apart and the guy disappeared!

see, that was the power of istekhara. Allah saved you. did you perform yourself or your mom did?

yeah same thing happened with me. When my friends found out that it ended it was kind of like "wtf how is that even possible?" There's no way it would've ended that way (for you or me, I know your story Inspiron) unless it was a sign saving us. Thank God.
to the OP: The most important thing is to have faith. That's something that the speaker in the video talks about and something I struggle with at times with this topic. If Allah takes it away that might not mean it's gone forever, you have to just know that if it's meant to be, it'll happen. If not, then God will replace with something that's better for you in this life and in the next.
she has some very awesome stuff. And because she's a female, I feel like I can relate to the way she talks about certain things much more. I'm subscribed to her on FB so I get her updates. There's some really great stuff by her on there.
