After death, made it to heaven - what then?

What do your beliefs say about once you’ve made it to heaven? What is the incentive for life there? Is it just sitting around enjoying pleasures, or is there more to it?

What is the incentive of life here?

Re: After death, made it to heaven - what then?

well lets say for simplicity’s sake and to keep the thinking in line with original topic, that it is to please the creator and get to heaven.

No no, forget about the creator. What do you think is the incentive of life here for someone who does not believe in afterlife.

Re: After death, made it to heaven - what then?

well that would be a different topic altogether. i’d be glad to discuss that on a different thread. this one already assume’s there is a heaven where the good ones end up.

And the point I am trying to make is in this world, every good person is struggling towards making his and other people’s life better. What is going to happen once we reach that Utopia? There will be no struggles, no researches, no need for excellence at that point. We can draw a parallel between whatever the incentive would remain for humans to live at that point in the world, and the residence of a God made paradise.

Re: After death, made it to heaven - what then?

To add to what brother TLK wrote …

The state of human imperfections are limited to this world. So if we manage to get to paradise then we will be made in a humanly perfect state - although we do not understand worship now and it may seem like a chore - in that domain worship will be a heavenly delight. Pure existence in that domain will be as close as we can get to unity … hearts preoccupied in sheer experience will disallow any mulling, thinking or boredom — Just imagine the most wonderful experience you have had … and now cast your mind back to your state … were you worried or anxious about the next moment in that state? No … because it was a moment of sheer experience … well paradise is like this all the time and we will be made like that all the time - it will be like being enraptured in bliss … neither will there be a “then what” nor will there be a “then what” asked by us.

After death, made it to heaven - what then?

Hmm. Greatest pleasure and incentive: being able to face our Lord.

what would happen to our wives? would we still see them?

Re: After death, made it to heaven - what then?

they will get Ghilmaa [pure, handsome boys]. wives will be happy so will be the husbands.

happy ending…eh?

Re: After death, made it to heaven - what then?

then why arent husbands happy when wives get pure handsome boys now? :\

Re: After death, made it to heaven - what then?

it’s this worldly life that we have this trait in our genes to get jealous, envious and behave like animals.

besides, in this world, we have to follow certain rules and being faithful is one of those rules. in the hereafter, we’ll be devoid of such feelings and traits. jannatis will be ALL happy for what they will get as reward.

Re: After death, made it to heaven - what then?

Queer if you have 5 children. When would get bored of seeing them happy, healthy, and their kids, then their kids.
And you parents seeing you healthy happy(with out one line sarcasm ), now that is an incentive.

Feel it dude.
