Just out of curiosity, How are you trying to raise awareness on this issue in rural areas?

Sach - I do understand your point of population density in urban areas but overall I agree with PD that it is more common in rural areas than in Urban areas. Not saying that educated folks do not indulge in this but Maybe education is a factor too. In my observation people from rural areas have more experiences with
1 – having sex with farm animals (which can be a stepping stone towards #2](http://www.paklinks.com/gs/usertag.php?do=list&action=hash&hash=2) and #3](http://www.paklinks.com/gs/usertag.php?do=list&action=hash&hash=3) )
2 – child molestation,
3 – prostitution ( a lot of time when Ex-Pats come back to Pak from abroad they come back with some money and want to ‘live their sexual fantasies via prostitutes’ )

ok…you have definitely spent some time in rural areas. spot on observations. I knew about your point 1 but did not bring it up. having sex with farm animals is sadly a norm in villages especially with female donkeys. like you said, this is considered as a teaching platform to move to step 2 and 3. In some of the siraiki villages, they have a terminology for female donkeys. they call them “ustad khotiee”…The issue is that every generation goes through the same cycle and therefore no one wants to talk about it. people will just laugh about them or will start fighting. No NGO has ever spent any serious time addressing these social issues in our culture.
