I watched India’s daughter last night and couldn’t sleep the rest of the night. Very disturbing and heart breaking. I wish the juvenile was sentenced to death as well. He will be released only after 3 years in jail.
She was definitely a fighter and after hearing from her parents, I can see where she gets it from.
Somehow I had forgotten the detail that the rapists removed her intestines. How do you manage to do that with just your bare hands? sickening!
I also got mad at the married guy’s wife who was pleading for her husband to be freed because she would have no one to support her. umm if I was her, I’d be asking for divorce. What a selfish woman! Even if he had escaped the death penalty, how do you go on living with a guy who brutally raped and murdered someone?
RIP Jyoti! Can’t imagine the pain her parents must be going through everyday.

That documentary was very disturbing. What drives these monsters to do such horrible things to another human being is dehumanization. They are taught from childhood that girls are inferior to boys. The way they are treated at work, in buses and trains, at homes etc, will eventually lead girls’ dehumanization. That is what drives this kind of thinking and eventually these crimes.

The wife probably said those things at the behest of his lawyer. Did you hear what the lawyer had to say about it? He is supposed to be an educated guy. What compounds the ridiculousness is there is a large group of people in India who are trying to discredit the documentary as anti-India and anti-Modi.
