i’m not sure what i’ll be doin after a-levels. my subjects in a-levels are chem , phy, n maths. i’m interested in doin engg from uk or flying but both of em seem to be impossible. i have also thought about doing Chatered Accountancy. is CA in demand, is this profession worth persuing? ppl plz help, give me some possible suggestions…
CA's are one of the top most paid ppl all over the world .. and i heard keh companies are always looking for hiring CAs ..
aur keh there demand doesnt run out .. so i think that would be a good option IF you have that thing for accounting and stuff .. otherwise i think you should go for something you like to do ..
beleive me whatever you do and if you love to do it .. you will excel in it
Good Luck for the future
go uni first then do CA.... infact if u get into a gd uni in uk and get a job right after graduation u will find companies who will help u train in ACCA, CA or CIMA.
I wanted to be a CA since I was about 7 yrs old. By 26 I was a CPA, worked for 4 yrs as an accountant and got so bored with it that I quit, then switched to IT and love it. You can't know if you love or hate something till you've actually been doing it for a while. I've been in IT for a while now and I still love it. So I know I've arrived. Stay open with your experiences and keep learning and you should be ok.
In the UK, you don't need to do an accounting degree to get into accounting. Just about any science or engineering degree will open the door into an accounting cmpany for you.
Just make sure that you get into a good university... the name of the university that you get your degree from DOES matter A LOT. Trust me on that... I do a bit of graduate recruitment at the company I work for.
You have a better chance of getting a good job with a C grade average from a top university, than with a A grade average from a less reputable one.
