^ Whoa ! Thats too much on the heavy side. If u’re wiling to spend that much time cutting and chopping, make a vegie/cheese platter with various assortments of cheese and crackers along besides a bunch of green/red grapes and a dip or two. That’ll take care of the salty cravings.
Make home-made humus from the chana, blend it with few cloves of garlic, lemon juice a spoon or two, salt, cayenne pepper 1/4 tsp and 1/4 of an onion plus some olive oil makes a wonderful humus dip. Chop up some taboulie salad… its simple but tasty.
Get some Phylo pastry ready-made and brush it good with butter, stuff that in layers with mice-meat…bake at 350 for few mins, until its done u think cut up into squares with butcher’s knife.
For sweetened taste, the fruit chat should suffice, or just grill fruits in skewers like a pineapple, banana and cubed mango…serve with vanilla ice cream or yogurt. This way u add up dairy again to the list, and less chance of a heartburn…Or just make a simple cake…
Either a plain one… if u want to go on the chocolate side … u can make one from ready-made=cake mix, a chocolate fudge …buy a can of cherry pie filling and some whipping creme, layer them up and u have urself a black forest cake…u can shave chocolate curls with a vegie peeler to garnish teh top…
haa…but I’m sure I’m late in my suggestions…as u were having the iftar for the 13th…
ps. Keep your list simple, light and healthy…most of the creamy/heavy/deep friend items are tasty but they end up giving u a heartburn later on:bummer: skip jalebi altogether for sure!!!
Ps. Google up some cheese platters on images, will give u neat ideas.
