Against Captain YK in 2005
Against Malik in 2007 and all throughout under his captaincy.
Quraan Oath against MOYO
Just to name a few!
Only saying this wont help brother........Everyone knows Afridi didnt took the oath ........and just to inform you oath was taken against Younis .....Yousuf Rana Akmal Bros n Malik took the oath
Afridi is seldom diplomatic and you have to be that in order to get your point across. His combination with Waqar is/was working for Pakistan and issues are needed to be resolved indoors. It is not a very wise step. But then again we dont get to associate Afridi and wise in same sentence that often.
PCB seeks explanation from Afridi
The PCB has said Pakistan ODI and Twenty20 captain, Shahid Afridi, has violated the board’s code of conduct with his public comments on Sunday that hinted at differences with coach Waqar Younis, and has asked Afridi for an explanation.
There has been recent speculation that Afridi was unhappy with what he saw as Waqar’s interference in selection. Afridi, on his return from Pakistan’s 3-2 ODI series win over West Indies in the Caribbean, seemed to suggest that when he told reporters in Karachi: “Although the differences in team management are not such which could not be solved, I feel everyone should do his job and need not interfere in other’s work.”
Though board officials sought to downplay the matter, the PCB said in a release, that “an explanation has been sought from him [Afridi] for the reasons to make such statements publicly.” The release further stated that the PCB would take appropriate action after submission of the tour report at the conclusion of the tour.
Pakistan are to play two Tests against West Indies, the first of which begins on May 12.
Taking notice of Shahid Afridi’s remarks about team management, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has sought explanation from the flamboyant skipper.
According to a PCB spokesman, Afridi’s remarks against the team management were a violation of code of conduct.
***“No statement can be issued regarding the team management in media,” the spokesman explained.
“If Shahid Afridi had any apprehensions on the issue, he should have taken them up at board’s meeting.” ***
The spokesman further said that Afridi would face disciplinary action for violating team’s code of conduct after receiving report about his remarks on return from West Indian tour.

Afridi knows very well how to ruin the goodwill generated after much work. May be it is unintentional but it is strange that a man of his age and position would do so.
be it ruining goodwill after a goody goody match between indopak semi or goodwill generated in country after world cup. he ruined both by his silly statements.
If Waqar is messing with team selection affairs, then Afridi has a right to speak out. Its the Captain who has to fight on the field with the 11 he takes with him. When Waqar was captain, he was the same - he fought with the selectors to (ironically) select Shoaib Malik and make him bat at 3 - where he got a 100 too!
So now if Waqar thinks he can select his own 11 and shove them on Afridi, then thats wrong and good on Afridi for speaking on.

As for Hafeez, please....this is not a club team.
he might be right but he needs to engage his brain before his opens his mouth. he should have raised the issue with PCB and not in public.
Hafeez will be a better captain than the current gali kee team captain we got.

As I said in one of my earlier posts, i will also put my money on hafeez ....he is quiet but a determined cricketer and showed a lot of mental strength by overcoming his bad form...no idea of his strategic and people-management skills but I did see him shaking hands with young players and congratulating them in the dressing room...afridi totally lost my respect the way he handled young players (esp hammad)... as a leader, nothing is more important to me than nurturing new blood, supporting them and providing them with enough opportunities….
bechara Afridi is always misunderstood. roundabout 50% of the angst in this thread is coming from indians still smarting over his spot-on observations post WC. talk about chotay dil.
