Please not that this is Afridi's career record. And he has been way better over the last year or so, incase you were following cricket! :)
And his strike rate suggests that whenever he scores, we have enough time to bowl the opposition out!
But you also have to note that Butt has had much fewer chances and he bats up the order, i don't think Afridi could make half of those runs if he was opening. Farhat, i don't really like him. I was watching the Pakistan A team and they showed Taufiq Omer has a test average of 40. I wonder why he is not in the team.
^ mian, don't back Taufeeq. I was the biggest supporter of him till last year. After his countless failure, that too in the same fashion, I regret and dropped the support for him. He disappoints in the big games.
I was about to answer in a similar fashion. I loved the way he batted in the home series against SAF but he could never maintain the level of consistency required at international level.
Good to see Woolmer and Khan were able to talk some sense into him. Hopefully Afridi will put this drama behind him and concentrate on kicking some English butt.
PS. Taufeeq, PLEASE. The last time I saw the guy bat I was scared he would wet his pants on national television. Same goes for Hasan Raza too. Let them do what they know best: bully the bacha parties on the domestic scene.
Just wondering why it took so long for him to reverse his decision?
The moment he announced his “retirement”, i was waiting for the reverse decision! He just want to get everyone’s attention after being dropped for test in SL …
