After hitting 6 sixers today, Shahid Afridi has taken his career tally of sixers in One Day Internationals to 224.

He now holds the World Record for hitting the most number of sixers in ODIs.

For a long time this record used to be with Vivian Richards of West Indies. Jayasuria of SriLanka and Shahid Afridi alternately held this record couple of times and now it is back with Shahid Afridi.

He might be tenth in the list but that one six in Sharjah will always remain the SIX in Pakistan’s cricket history. Nothing comes close to it.

I have no doubt that he will maintain the 1 Six/inning ratio, but i jhave doubt whether he will play 224 innings :D

I think if Imran nazir had not been dropped or had he continued with his form when he first came in then he would’ve been somewhere in the top 10 by now. :whistling:
