After Inzamam retires, is there any chance of Afridi becoming captain or atleast vice captain?

Not afridi.. Afridi doesnt have experience plus he is out of team due to injury. I will say Younis Khan as Captain and Shoaib Akhtar/Younis Youhana as Vice-Captain

We can't have a vice captain that needs to be replaced twice or thrice in a series for various reasons :)

Bhai sahaab, Afridi has the most experience in the side after inzi and yousuf. Shoaib is too selfish. Yousuf had his chance.

well I think the grooming part of Younis Khan is all done and he will soon graduate to become a captain of the Pakistani team.

I agree but then how many Afridi has been times dropped? Almost as many tests/ODI he has played.. He will play a superb innings.. a vey fast 50/100 full of sixes and follow it with 3-4 innings of zeros or single-digit scores.. he has to graduate to being consistent.

I think since woolmer's taken over, he's been very consistent. And its the attitude that he brings to the team that I like. They'll play with a chip on their shoulders. It'll only be about winning if he takes over, not that its not now. I think he can bring a different element.

Recently, Shoaib has been marred by injuries and especially the surgery kept him out for long but come on, he is our main bowler- when he performs, the team performs.. I hope he keep fits.. Afridi is sometimes soooo inconsistent... as I said you see a good innings and then no double digit knock for matches..

If he stays like that, I have no issues him being the vice captain.

Younis Khan will be captain after Inzamam retires...and Shoaib Malik will be vice-captain. Mark my words :)

I do have a strong feeling that Afridi is Pakistan's future captain. It only matter of time when he gets it. He is now an integral part of the team and as we all know is more consistent than ever before.

Other possible candidates can be Malik or Butt if regain his form n cement his place in team.

Younis is certain to take over from Inzimam.

^ yep me too. Although, I really feel giving Afridi the vice captaincy will be good for his game and improve him as a player not to mention the positive affect it will have on the team.

I also think Younis Khan will be the next captain and Shoiab Malik will be the vice captain for one days. However, will they make Shoiab Malik the vice captain for tests? This is open to debate. I personally don't think so, simply because he is not a test material.
