Afridi should consider himself lucky that he gets away with a small ban. He will not play in Friday's T20 game and the Ist T20 game against England in Abu Dhabi in Feb.

ICC banned him for 2 matches, I think PCB should ban him for 2 years, this is ridiculous. Did anyone not teach him a lesson after his dance on the pitch?
I have been a bid advocate of making afridi captain for all types of games - but after watching this incident, I must say that he should be banned for life. This is his second such offense.
I think if Yousuf as a captain loses 100 games by playing with honesty and dignity as pakistan captain is far better than Afridi winning 100 games by cheating.
This is totally ridiculous - ban him for life ....

In EVERY game people cheat!
Either its Olympics race by doping
Football match by doping or referee favoritism
Cricket by elastic blades in bat or by biting or tempering the ball or by tempering the pitch
or any game in the world.. People cheat and it happens in EVERY single game.
Now a days Almost all football games are being heavily invested with money from betting companies.
Many people do it deliberately and some got caught and punished and others got caught and still nothing happens.
I dont support what he did. BUT there are two sides of this thing.
One is bad and one is good.
The good one is:
Any person who try any such act to win the game, either he do it for himself or for his team or for his country (if he is playing at country level). Its only done to be Good.
Bad:
If the person got caught then he or she has to accept the punishment. Behind such punishment there lies a lot of diplomatic thoughts. Like which country, what language, what skin, how is the international reputation of that country and so on.
Although it "should" not be done in a game as it is indeed bad what Afridi did but you can never be sure of a fair game!

I am NOT justifying it but making it clear to those emotional fellows that we LOVE to push anybody out of the place where he or she is allotted BUT we dont even thing whom we should put next up at that place.
It not only in Games its same in politics, work place, and in our culture.
We can only say that kill him.. but we can never say WHO is the best person to take that position.

I totally agree with you! Also, what's even more mind boggling is that this is the second time he has done something really stupid like that. He was once caught by the cameras roughing the pitch against England and was banned back then as well, but he did not learn!!! How can such a person be the captain?

a game is also played for country as it is representing Pakistan though players play with their emotions either for Pakistan or for money.
We being Pakistani are hating it and if we DO hate it then its again WE who want them to be.. again in politics or in games or at any place.
