afridi ain't mate! his contract was teminated by derbyshire by mutual consent ages ago as they felt he wasn't performing well. lately i heard he was chosen to represent pak in hong kong super 6's

Afridi is rubbish. Azhar probably deserves a chance in Razzaq's place somewhere along the line. Without reverse swing Razzaq's bowling looks ordinairy.

:hehe: even county fired him for not playing properly. that should bring him to senses, I hope.

Actually Afridi is currently preparing to go to South Africa, he has been offered a contract from Natal.

 he isnt that bad okay… i think he might play well under javed miandad.. he should get alteast one more chance :halo:

:nono: :nono3:

Ehsan Bhai…Uski fielding skills ka kuch khayaal kar le  since that’s the only thing you think he’s good at :stuck_out_tongue:

Waisay I would like to see Afridi play under Javed Miandad…last time Miandad was the coach, Afridi performed wonderfully…i.e. 141 against India…which was not a fluke by any means which some of you might protest.

yes he shud get one more chance under miandad, maybe miandad will knock sense in him

they didnt fire him, his contract was only of 2 months with derby. and now he has signed 6 month contract with a south african county team

:k: he is among the very few pakistani players who have proper fielding skills, the rest are:rolleyes:

his fielding is great...but his attitude isnt....i remember his county coach saying that he was "uncoachable" and he couldnt understand how he played so many international matches before ppl began to realize it.... he's definetely an explosive player and very exciting to watch, but he needs to get his head on straight....sometime down the road he should be given another chance but not right now...

Hey guys don't you think the raw talent afridi has, he deserves to be in the team. He is a wildcard, who can single handedly win matches for pakistan. I think the coach and captain should work on him more, for I have been watching cricket for over a decade and I have not seen a more "clearner" hitter than afridi.

He is not that bad, he averages 24.65 with the bat and 35.31 with the ball. That is okay for an all rounder. He is an excellent fielder and ultimately he creates fear in the opposition as well. I think he is worth having in the team.

Remember Afridi is an asset to Pakistan, there ain't nobody quite like him. He is someone extra special, and he needs special treatment.
Even Shoaib Akhtar has an attitude problem, and he seldom performs, then why do Pakistan persist with him????

I think if Afridi is to go, then Shoaib should go as well.

Yup he is a clean hitter, who hits 9 out of 10 times straight into the hands of a fielder.

Hey, clean hitting comes at a price. You gotta train the guy, get him by the scruff of the neck and tell him what to do and when to do it. But don't throw him away, he is too talented for that.

Razzaq and Azhar are both great players, highly talented and versatile. I mean come on people, we just expect too much from everybody. And secondly we never give any player a complete chance. Look at Bevan for example. His first few matches where not good, but still he was given a chance, and he has shown his class. Give these pakistani players a good consistance chance and they will perform as well. They are excellent players.

How long has he been playing for Pakistan? Over 8 years or so, if he can't learn in this period of time he just hasn't got it. There is a difference between a classy player and a tulley baaz.

Hey Hey chill chill, I ain't no relative or friend of Afridi. But I just don't see it why people are so against him? Just because we expect too much from him. I mean it is dissapointing to see him get out playing a poor shot, but he does play his part. Either he scores a few quick runs, gets a wicket or two and is brilliant in the field. It is only a 50 over a side game, what more can he do?
