Afghanistan

When the UN troops leave Afghanistan, will it again become Pakistan’s “back yard” ?

Re: Afghanistan

You seem to have a lot of “questions”.. :hmmm:

It might or might not [prolly might me thinks] become a pakistani satellite but you must remember that Pakistan and then Iran are the greatest power brokers in afghanistan. Afghanistan is always trying to screw with Pakistan [at least the royals / n. alliance khars] so pakistan will have to guard its national security and geostrategic interests.

Re: Afghanistan

Despite all that Afghan/Pashtun "bravery" talk they are quite easily bought by others as history has shown.

Re: Afghanistan

It will most likely become India's backyard.

Re: Afghanistan

^ It is right now hence you see the "freeedumm faighturs" of "balochis" called teh BLA.

Re: Afghanistan

Actually the world geopolitics and security paradigm have changed in a radical way since the collapse of USSR and end of the Cold War.

During the communist era, the geostrategy of the global players was focussed on the northern flank of the Euoroasia from Atlantic to USSR accross northern and Central Europe...But with the communist threat gone and the threat of Sino-Muslim nexus perceivably having come to fore, the focuss is now on the southern flank extending from Middle East to China via Afghanistan, Pakistan, Indian Ocean, etc.

An indication of it is that Afghanistan has now alliance with NATO, USA, and other West-allied powers like India, Japan, etc. And there are NATO/US forces stationed in Iraq and many places in the Middle East.

Besides, due to the ultrastrategic importance of Afghanistan, the global and major Asian players will not let it dominated by small powers. Unfortunately, ,by supporting Jehadis in Afghanistan and installing a regime in Kabul , our country Pakistan lost the chance to have an influence there.

Re: Afghanistan

^Bhai Sahib!
Our country did what it was told to do, they asked us to support Jehadis against USSR we did it. They wanted some stability in Afghanistan, we provided it by helping out Taliban, they wanted us to help dislodge Taliban, we did it.

Now what else can we do?

Re: Afghanistan

They often bend over for the Saudis and their Wahhabi petrochemical dollars.

Re: Afghanistan

Being neighbors, Pakistans strategic location, and having so much in common, due to the large Pashtun population in Pakistan, means we can always have some sway...

Re: Afghanistan

^

Big talk from Pakistanis who are on American khairat.

Its like a paraplegic making fun of a quadriplegic.

Re: Afghanistan

sigh So depressing to read the views of others here, when it comes to Afghanistan. Why cant we just get along and focus on things we have in common as Pakistani and Afghanis?

Re: Afghanistan

^ The things pakistan has common with Afganistan?

hmm let me think....is it Afghani's???

Re: Afghanistan

If that is true, then should this "majority" be popular or bleeding NATO / US / afghan troops?

Re: Afghanistan

We should fear Allah. And help building afghanistan.

Re: Afghanistan

So then Northern Alliance and awwghanis uses the same weapons etc to attack Pakistan?

It is like US arming the shiite irani-allied militias in Iraq :omg:

I don’t want to be frank as some mods don’t like it so…

Re: Afghanistan

Thanks for sharing your wisdom. Other pearls comming from you hu?

Re: Afghanistan

Well like one of my friend says,

Allah is Ghafoor & Raheem, he will forgive us, but US is arrogant and fierce, we shud fear her.

Re: Afghanistan

When it was Saudi dollars also training Pakistani young men into talibs, then it werent so bad hu?
I guess, your woke from your beauty sleep when Iran helped out the minorities killed in the name of Saudi flag?

You can talk all you want by saying its afghanis or whatever…in Pakistan nobodies checks the ID cards of ppl there…proclaiming talibs or whatever stupid.

What IS good for Pakistan may it occur. And whatever brings LONG lasting peace in Afghanistan…may it happen ASAP. Im beyond whoever governs or whomevers interests it fits. At the end, its the women and kids that will have a future… Rest can rot for all I care.

Re: Afghanistan

And we should also FEAR the stupids, who think they act in the interest of both countries....but in reality they protect their opium markets.

Re: Afghanistan

Shiite terrorists attack ahle-sunnah prosessions in karachi in the eighties and that had nothing to do with anyone attacking shias in karachi. Look beyond your sectarian bias..

PS I was talking to my friends online and shias wouldn’t agree with me that they had a soft side for iran [like the iraqi militias] that taliban had for wahabism. Though, it is funny you mention saudis since ben leden didn’t like saudis and he financed talibs..
