rvikz,

from the link you provided:

"According to the sources, heavy presence of anti-Pakistan and pro-Indian elements in the existing Afghan ruling elite, is not ready to negotiate Pakistan on bilateral trade till a positive indication from the Government of Pakistan on the issue.
“During the private discussions with Pakistani businessmen, the Afghan rulers have made it very clear that they would not allow Pakistan to enter either into Afghanistan market or the Central Asian States through Afghanistan,” said the sources.
"

Now you are asking why Pakistan is remaining a stumbling block when it's clear from the article above which YOU provided that the pro-Indian government in Afgfhanistan is itself providing stumbling block to Pakistani trade. So what do they expect in return a bunch of flowers?

rvikz, Check Mate buddy... Read the links before you use them in your anti-Pakistani campaigns... ;)

And btw, whether we allow the usage of Wagah is our personal policy... You can not just go and cry over it... You tried to come through Wagah and take over, but you failed, so you must suffer the consequences. We will also break you oil link with Iran if you mess with us again. Consider this a threat from Pakistan.

Rvikz or w/e his name is-is he an Indian/Hindu yeah?

Re: Afghanistan seeks Wagha border opening for trade with India

It was your High & Mighty Indian Government in moments of Delusions of False Grandeur that stopped all overflights of Pakistan aircraft over India. Pakistan replied in kind. A classic example of ‘Cutting off ones nose to spite the face’. Forget about trading with Afghanistan. Afghanistan is “OUR” neighbour and we will look after it.

Afghanistan is a landlocked state which if it wants to trade using routes through Pakistan will have to allow similar rights to Pakistan vis-a-vis routes through Afghanistan. Business is business at the end of the day and Indians can jump up and down all they like but deals will be done on terms which suit both Pakistan and Afghanistan. India should look at it's own interests with a new perspective also wrt deals which can be done with Pakistan on a basis of mutual benefit rather than worry about relations between other nations.

Good Ol' Secular India - The land of 'Self-Proclaimed Greatness Syndrome' :)

Afghanistan has traditionaly been a strong enemy of Pakistan. I sincerely believe that if they were given the chance, they would side against us or openly attack us if ever a war with India were to brak out. Perhaps the Pathan population may not be as Anti-Pakistani as the rest, but we cant trust them completely either. To let Afghanistan and our eastern Enemy use our territory, and come closer in the process, at our expense, will be a big mistake in the long run, perhaps even suicide. We have to improve relation with the Afghani's, so we can be sure they will not turn on us, and at the same time, Pakistan has to develop her economy so that all threats can be met without a problem.
