Actually Afghan poetry is really good. In Dari or Pushto. I am barely getting a hang of the languages but some of the stuff is amazing.
Oh yeah they had a choice. India and Iran. They hate Iran and they do like India. But not that many really in the Pushton belt.

No they hate Iran because Iran did not treat the Afghans like human beings. They were left in camps as uneducated illiterates. A majority of the staff in the UN work because Pakistan offered them an education and they have not forgotten. When a Pashtun learns I am Pakistani I am treated like a long lost brother. At the mosque or at the office. Hell they specifically speak in urdu when they see me out of respect, not for me but for Pakistan. We have done wrong by them sure. But we also have done a lot.
You can keep your racist views to yourself. Thankfully a majority of Afghans and Pakistanis do not believe like you do. Our trade with them is over 2 billion dollars in a year. We give out 200,000 visas free of charge for a minimum of 6 months. All the UN staff i know go to Pakistan for treatment. I have a few pathan colleagues who always want Pakistani sweets when I get back.

Dude no need to be hostile. Anybody can check out Pashtun forums. They are not very friendly towards Pak. Punjabis. They do love Pashtuns of KP but most of them don't consider it part of Pakistan and dream about merging it with Afghanistan ( of course its not possible). Even Taliban which had excellent relationship with Pakistan didn't recognize the Durand Line. I don't claim to live in Afghanistan, but there are quite a few Afghan students in my University and they don't say very flattering things about Pakistan. Probably they do it coz they are living in India . ..

Yeah like I said I live in Afghanistan, I deal with Afghans on a daily basis. The difference lies in ethnicity. Pathan’s love Pakistan. Hell three of them were on the flight me to Pakistan so they could visit family here. Hazara, Tajiks and Uzbek’s not so much. There is no concept of unity. To quote an INGO staff member, there are two Afghanistans. The one that is half Pakistan and the cluster ****.
Yeah bet your friends are Tajik or Hazara. Or Uzbek depending where they come from.

Probably they don’t have any strong feelings against the Pakistani people. But they do hate the Pak. State because they feel it has screwed them over for so many years. I don’t know how justified there feelings are but they blame Pakistan for Taliban and all the atrocities that it committed.

If this is the formula to cut the ties with nations/countries then, we should cut ties with UK, their ON-JOB PM have told much worse things then this X-NS Member of Afghanistan who BTW belongs to the former Northern Allies which never liked Pakistan to begin with.... But I don't think many here would agree to beak ties with UK or USA or any western country or even with India... the reason is simple.. their personal interest lies there....
I guess the one who are in view of cutting ties with Afghan should act on it and would apply the same logic with other countries doing the same...
