Nobody is trying to impose Islamic laws on you. They go after Taliban because they can’t stand Islamic laws being implemented on the Muslims? That does not make sense. Unless Taliban were in America trying to impose, then it makes sense to attack. You leave us alone, let us practice our faith, let us implement sharia in our lands. There will be no problems.

I’ll let alone the subject of Taliban supporting Osama and whatever role they had in 9/11 events. I imagine this was the primary reason of the US to get there. Again, it is a different subject.
Let’s get back to the “Islamic laws being implemented on the Muslims”. Islamic laws according to whom? Muslims according to whom? Have those Muslims elected to be governed by the laws of Taliban? How about those who define themselves non-Muslim with respect to Taliban? How about those who define Muslim laws differently from Taliban? Let’s not forget we are talking about subjective beliefs. Anyone’s subjective beliefs are as valid as anyone else’s by the virtue of being subjective beliefs.
