Yeh I mena balochistan is the biggest misnomer of all. The north is complete pashtun territory, why is the province called balochistan when half the population is non-baloch. I see noone protesting to that, but if the pashtuns name their province their rightful Pashtunistan/Pashtunkhwa/Afghania. This was its proper names, the british named it NWFP, FATA, PATA, etc.

what about sindh:D…karachi is the biggest of it:halo:…and most people there are not sindhi:D

ps, I think baloch would fear that Pashtunistan is including Quetta…after all paSHtunistan is a typical Quetta pronunciation:halo:

True, but Karachi is a sindhi city with a multiculural group of people. And as far as I knw karachi doesn't stand for an ethnicity. The pashtun and baloch are divided in their respective areas, the only area of disagreement is Quetta. Whatever is the baluch area it should be given to them, and pashtun likewise. If it furthers confict, then we can live side by sde in peace, its just that people complain that pashtunistan is unfair to the people in hazara distric, but conveniently forget that half(or atleast half) of balochistan (population wise) is pashtun(afghan).

i’ve been told the main reason was that some part of afghan…a large part to be true, is also pakhtunkhwa, so renaming NWFP is just a first step towards “unification” BUT Duran line is very conveninent for both aafghani AND pakistan gvt:D…so i doubt pakistan will take that step…which could also anger afghani gvt…and we’ve seen what angry afghani do to paki pashtoons:(

It was an unforetunate, but we shouldn't such thins come in, yes the culprits deserve to be punished. Yeh many support the unification of the pashtun areas into one province (the areas within pakistan) as one province called Afghania/Pashtunistan/Pashtunkhwa. Right now, elimination of durand line is a lonnnnnnnnnnng way to go. Afghanistan and pashtun areas need awreness, developement, we have to end tribalism. Its sad when we had a Ghazi Amanullah and Fakhr-e-Afghan baba Bacha Khan, we never gave them the support they fully needed, and now when we need them the most, we mourn.

unfortunately that is valid not only for afghanistan and NWFP, but for whole asian subcontinent:D…outiside the tiny middle class living in big cities…people are so ignorant …it will take centuries to put some science into their heads …
and from what i see in europe nowadays (it’s even worse in america), i would say that you can take the paindoo out of the pind, but you can’t take the pind out of the paindoo:D

lol. Yeh maybe so, but I have high hopes, I doubt it will take us that long, hopefully we can re-organize it all. From what I have noticed their is a resurgence by pashtuns(afghans) on both sides to stick together, an awareness to help their people. This is personal observation, so its not like a fact. However, I feel that pashtuns are slowly learning, ye it will take time.
