Anyone have a wedding cake bakery that’s affordable that you would recommend? Tried looking it up but too many choices!
Re: Affordable CA wedding cakes
Having no cake is most affordable. Pakistani shadis were previously heavily borrowed with Hindu tradition. Now its a mix of Hindu and Western borrowed rituals. When affordability is an issue in a Muslim wedding, this is my humble advice and reminder.
Other than that, I don't know any "affordable" vendor. sorry.

...By affordable, I meant not paying something crazy for a cake. I'm pretty sure eating dessert/cake wasn't something we got from Hindus and isn't unislamic (I'm not doing anything haram) so that's harsh.

her cakes are good and pretty (and halal), but i believe she charges a pretty penny!

I’ve always loved her cakes so she was the first one I contacted…but…she’s not making cakes for a bit now ![]()

Re: Affordable CA wedding cakes
I managed to track down the guy that did all my cakes when I was 1-5 (I still remember how delish they were, they were THAT good) and he’s doing my cake now!
If anyone is looking for a cake, I would check out this place: Welcome to the Frontpage
Wish and a Whisk looked really good and they were at the top of my list but they’re really expensive. So I went with this guy!
Re: Affordable CA wedding cakes
what kind of cake did you get and what are his rates?
Re: Affordable CA wedding cakes
Yeah Wish and Whisk is expensive, but go with what works for your budget so you have money to splurge on other things for the wedding.

I got a vanilla cake with pineapple and bavarian cream filling. That's what we always used to get and I tried some again and it was AMAZING.
I think it came out to around 150 for a small 2 tier that feeds 100ish people + a sheet cake for another 120. I may be kind of off with my numbers because I'm going off of memory
