I agree that at a lot of boutiques, no matter how nice it looks from a distance, when you try on the outfits the fitting is bad and the whole outfit looks ridiculous. However, during my recent visit to Karachi, I noticed this was changing. Particularly in places that seem to cater to a younger crowd. The clothes at Cynoption (and similar boutiques, I can't remember all the names) fit better than the ones stitched by my own darzi! I was very pleased with the outfits I found at the boutiques this time -- mostly the fun, casual party ones. I've gotten a lot of compliments on them :Pretty:
I had a pretty bad experience with Cynosure, Lahore this year. I bought a suit from there which cost Rs. 1295/-, they gave no washing instructions with it, but when I tried to starch it, the color of the piping spoiled the whole shirt! Though I was given another suit in the same range, but I had to visit them twice for it, as when I took it back, they told me to come again as the replacement would come from the factory :|
I don't have any intentions of buying anything from there again! :|
Coming to the topic, in Fortress, there are a number of boutiques, and some are quite affordable, and they offer alteration too, plus the sizes are also available, check out Trends, Collections near Potpourri and Hina, Doria near opp Bundu Khan. I shop from Fortress regularly and I'm quite satisfied :). And yes, another thing, if you wish to get a suit made in the color and fabric of your choice, they offer it as well. Generation is another option, but the clothes from there are rather too simple for their price :|, the best time to visit Generation is when the sale is on :D as they reduce the prices by an amazing 50%! I bought two suits from there, on which the actual cost mentioned was Rs. 1600/-, but I had to pay only Rs. 800/- per suit.
