Muslim Girl, what ever the case be , you have seen the text message , confront the guy, if he says he will do nikkah , that is between him and his wife , you have done your job.
Lets say he does the nikah chupke chupke , then clearly he is in trouble and it would be well worth it to inform other elder members in the family of his deed.
Eventually his wife is going to get hurt either ways . Instead of thinking how he will respond , just talk to him and let him know what you know ... record the conversation on your mobile phone or what ever ... so that if it is your misunderstanding it will be dealt with , but if he is seriously getting out of hand , then you have proof and can talk to someone in the family.
