seems like your mom and dad are not "friends". They are into showing each other on how much they INDIVIDUALLY do.
You mom probably feels that it's your dad's responsibility to support you guys financially. She may feel her money is "her" money only.
Your dad on the other hand seems a bit "cautious". That he is trying hard to please his family just because your mum is over doing it...
If you feel left out then you must learn to find their weakness. Point out to them that they need to pay more attention on you guys.
On the other hand - you could also be a "brat" who wants more than what's provided...
so everything depends on your situation and the details of what's happening in your mum's and dad's lives.
