I’d prescribe a dose of pragmatism and try to knock some sense into that idealistic imprudent guy…

1. Don’t expect or count on model behavior even from people you regard and idealize.
2. No matter how much you do, you’ll always fall short on someone’s measure… don’t kill yourself trying to please everyone.
3. Most of all… Let Life Happen… don’t try to shape and mould every facet of life or try to uncurl every contour on your path – leave some things to providence.
