Advice with uncooperative masters program

To make a long story short, I had to withdraw from my program before starting it because I am pregnant and on top I was violently ill (bed rest now too). The program didn’t let me defer, but they said I can withdraw and reapply sort of with just a few changes, so I my file is still on their record. The new changes include taking an Anatomy course. Now they are telling me I cannot take the course over the summer (may to June) because by that time their class for the fall will be full so I can get an interview prior to completing the course, but I will not be considered until the course has been completed. They are not allowing me to take an online course even though I will end up taking anatomy during the program anyways. Mi cannot physically take the course in the spring (starts January) because I am on bedrest plus I’m due in February. How will I take off from the class to deliver my baby and I am also high risk so I can’t just go to class for hours. I feel like I’m at a dead end and the program director is not helping out. I am running the risk of being denied admission for the fall.
I was thinking of emailing the academic coordinator and explaining my situation. Does anyone have any advice if emailing higher up positions might help? The program director wants me to talk to the admissions advisor, who is rude and useless. All she says is “I think so and so” and doesn’t reply to her emails.

Last resort - Get the press involved ... Or at least find sympathisers in the student union ... Find any material that you can use to support you from the law and discrimination against pregnant women.

Re: Advice with uncooperative masters program

Thanks for your reply. I was thinking of contacting the school's ombudsman. I mean how difficult is it to grant me permission to take an online course because I just need this for background knowledge, I will end up taking anatomy during the program regardless. On top most schools near where I live don't offer just an anatomy course since most courses are anatomy and physiology. They are adamant that the course be only anatomy. The schools that do offer an anatomy course are not offering it in the spring, but only in the summer and fall. I have only found one school near by that offers it next spring for $4000!!!! This is ridiculous. How am I supposed to pay that much for one freaking course, while putting my baby at risk and running the risk of missing a bunch of classes at the same time. Why don't the program faculty get any of this. When I asked the admissions advisor to suggest schools that offer the damn course she goes she found the community college one one two seconds, do I have a computer at home. Yes *****! Thanks for no help since that college isn't offering it over the spring for which you are so adamant about. I'm so stressed out and losing sleep over this.

How will an ombudsman help?
