first tell me what kinda job would u be doing? Everyone is is complaining here £25,000 is too low, may be it is but London’s average pay is still £22655. If you are married I wont recommend taking any job less than £30,000. If you are single even £20,000 will make you somehow survive.

Average three bedroom tarraced house in reasonable area (out of Greater London) e.g. Zone 4 (UG) you should be looking around 200,000 to 275,000 (NW Area), SE is cheap but I wont recommend as desi. East London is cheaper but dirty. If you want to purchase then check the area well before u invest. Good luck.**

dude what part of SE is cheap, checked housing prices in Dulwich Village recently? thats SE22

If you just walk from Dulwich to Forest Hill a bit south go to Bellingham etc. & compare the same sized house with NW you will see the price difference & what I mean.

BTW - guys by NW London I dont mean NW London postal code - please include Middx too in it .. same rule applies to SE area too.

najim. yeah but u can say the same for peckham :D
point being that not all areas in SE are inexpensive.
Dulwich Village was an example..mah home tawwwwwwn.

Thank guys... I'm originally from northern England and after reading about the expenses described above I think i'm better off here. I like London in my aspects but the expenses just puts me off.

The ave price for a house in London is like £250,000 for sure.
