Advice needed

As you may or may not know i’m a Law grad from UK currently living in Copenhagen. I couldn’t get any law related job here due to language barrier and extra qualifications needed so for the timebeing i’m in an intensive language school learning Danish.

Now though we plan to be back in UK this December so i’m beginning to apply for jobs back home. The Danish is just a timepass and an extra…but do i put it on my CV?

If i don’t then the gap in me doing nothing is bigger than it already is. Approximately a year and 8 months

If i do they’re most likely going to want to know what i’m doing in Copenhagen applying for jobs in Sheffield and with interviews and crap it might be a put off.

Plus id like to know…im concerned that ive been out of work for a while…how big does a gap have to be for it to be too big to bother ?

Thanks

Re: Advice needed

You should fudge teh dates on your CV …just enough so the gap comes down to six months. And guess what you did during those six months? You got married and took Danish in Copenhagen. :hula:
If you don’t intend to be politically correct on your resume then write the truth and just smile..Anyone in his right mind should be impressed

Re: Advice needed

Don't fudge dates on your resume! Avoid mentioning dates by writing a functional resume instead of a chronological one.
