Advice needed on best way to remove Facial Hair

Hi everyone
Hope you can help.

I need advice on best way to get rid of facial hair.
I have done threading and waxing in the past but it caused redness and bumps to my skin plus scarring. I switched to bleaching, I used boots own brand hair lightening bleach cream, I used that for couple of years, bleached every month.

But now I noticed my hair has become thicker and more prominent, and I have dark patches on my upper lip and around my chin, wherever I applied the bleach. Omg.
I want to try boots facial hair removal cream on face but I heard these creams aren’t good as hair will grow thicker.
Electrolysis method is too painful , my friend got it done but the pain is too severe.
Was checking no-no reviews, not sure if it’s definitely worth it.
Laser treatment isn’t suitable for my skin, doctor said my hairs not too bad and laser will encourage more growth. Had my blood test done, dr said it’s on borderline to developing pcos. She can’t prescribe. Vaniqa cream as it affects fertility, as I’m still trying for baby, so can’t risk it.
It’s really affecting my confidence. especially when I go to work, I work in retail.
I don’t know what to do :frowning:

Re: Advice needed on best way to remove Facial Hair

I have been using hair removal cream (NAIR) on my face for YEARS. My mom and two sisters use it too…have been for years. None of us have experience any difference in how the hair grows. The thread below has more detailed discussion on this.

Re: Advice needed on best way to remove Facial Hair

I highly doubt your issues are due to the cream, more likely your borderline PCOS.

I also have been using Olay hair removing cream for a couple of years now. It has not changed/altered or affected my hair growth nor caused any discolaration. I also have PCOS...the only thing that will deal with the facial hair issues is assessing the hormone imbalance and testosterone levels. I'm on metformin and flutamide.
