Advice needed in one venue selection among three.

Hi which one do you guys recommend for a barat function in Islamabad/Pindi.

Khiva Lawns
Blue Lagoon
Haveli (marquee)

my valima function is in marquee too

Please advice in terms of food, venue, service etc. Thanks

Re: Advice needed in one venue selection among three.

I can't comment on Blue Lagoon but my sister had a wedding in paradise complex and her valima took place in khiva lawns. Both venues were spectacular and I would recommend both places in terms of food and services. Good Luck with your wedding planning :)

Re: Advice needed in one venue selection among three.

Thanks a lot Bella :) I heard entrance of paradise complex is not nice?

Re: Advice needed in one venue selection among three.

Recently visited Paradise Complex. I wonder why they call it a complex? Those are simple halls. :snooty:
Plus I agree the entrance isn’t nice but the halls are nice inside.

Re: Advice needed in one venue selection among three.

I have also heard EMPIRE is the best marquee in Islamabad?

Re: Advice needed in one venue selection among three.

i have not seen or attended functions at the above mentioned places personally.

All my family members who reside in Islamabad/Pindi have held their side of the engagement/baraat/walima functions at Khiva Lawns. They have nothing but rave reviews for the place. My Mum attended some of the functions at Khiva and was blown away by the setup, service, etc.

Hope you find something that works for you, and good luck.

Re: Advice needed in one venue selection among three.

covered one function in khiwa lawn, islamabad. its nice though if you arrange or decorate it wisely as this place is not the best.

Re: Advice needed in one venue selection among three.

Thanks I understand so what is the best wedding venue in Isb/Pindi?

Re: Advice needed in one venue selection among three.

Thanks a lot ninjamummy :)

Re: Advice needed in one venue selection among three.

Well i hardly covered 6 weddings in Islo. 3 in Sarena Hotel and 3 in Holiday Inn with some shoots in Saidpur village and sarena and both hotel's halls were nice though. Specially Sarena is best place for photoshoots.

Re: Advice needed in one venue selection among three.

I had my wedding at blue lagoon , there main hall is great very spacious and food is also very good.

Re: Advice needed in one venue selection among three.

I recently shot a Reception at Blue Lagoon & the decor was really good.
Paradise Complex is good too.
Khiva Lawns, I've seen it either looking fab or drab so it's unpredictable .
Empire is by HR and they have a really good marquee in e-11 too & I think somewhere on the highway?

I'd recomend looking into Hill View Hotel, though the entrance location wise isn't ideal, the place it's self is lovely.Another option would be Margalla Hotel. As for your bridal/couple photoshoot don't worry about it, you can choose any location for it.

And I'd recommend Sobias too .Daniella & Milli are hit or miss IMHO.
I don't know about other photographers but she didnt have any issues with me photographing the Getting Ready session.

Re: Advice needed in one venue selection among three.

I think it’s because they have multiple buildings/halls there.

Re: Advice needed in one venue selection among three.

Thank you very much for all your kind replies :)

A friend suggested RAMADA HOTEL is very impressive, heard of it?

Re: Advice needed in one venue selection among three.

Yup, I have.Frankly the building & interiors are great but not the wedding halls specifically.
The ceiling is so close that they dont have a separate stage set up, it was on the same level as the guests.
Maybe it's cuz I'm a photographer but celing heights & ambient lighting is what I check first. thats why even though Islamabad Hotel is good, i wouldn't suggest it cuz of the same problem. When you have 6 ft men standing on stage there s no way you can avoid the lights....
