Diaper genies are awesome and when they Deal with poo diapers, they’re even more awesome. Refills don’t cost that much and are always going on sale at walmart or bru. If you are being offered it, take it!
Take time out for yourself even if it’s just taking an extra long hot shower, or a walk around the block. You are your baby’s primary caregiver so you have to take care of you so you can take care of baby.
Have no expectations of grand parenting achievements initially- the first few months are tiring, sleepless and challenging and having the baby will kick your ass lol but it is the most rewarding thing you’ll ever do. And remember, they are born with personalities- you’ll just teach him to manage his, so enjoy discovering his.
