So we’re nearly half way through Ramadan (and it seems to be flying by).
We’re hosting Eid Dinner this year, which will mean I will be doing a lot of prep beforehand.
If your cooking on Eid what do you plan to cook-menus please :halo:
Mine is still work in progress…I always end up making loads of starters which take way to long to prep so this year inshallah I plan to do things slightly differently.
Me and my friends are having a potluck brunch at my place.We mare making a totally desi foods and ordering some from persian resturants.
Here is the menu
Chicken kebabs (boneless chicken pieces ) and Shish kobabs (minced beef ) (they are persian dishes) catered
Biryani
Mutton karahi
Haleem
Pasta
Two types of salad (potatoe and regular garden salad)
Gajar halwa
Cake

on eid we always have a great breakfast after the namaaz in mom's house and everybody participate to cook halwa poori chane kabaabs chikken tika and of course fresh and crispy croissant and french baguette not to forget ras malai that's my specialty .
and after that maybe restaurant or cook at house with sisters and bhabi

When we have an Eid party, my parents usually make biryani, baked chicken, nihari or korma, palak, cholay or haleem, and seekh kababs, and sometimes paaye.
To save time, my dad buys the meat for the kababs......adds the spices to it......and then he will take it to a restaurant.....that will bake the kababs. And it turns out nicely. Of course you pay them....and it's your recipe.....but they turn out very tender.
