We are looking for an expert in Flash Programming/Prototyping to join the Business Objects User Experience team for North America, located in Vancouver, BC, in a 3-4 month contract role.
This position will work with the UE Design Lead, Program Manager, and Software Architect to develop the interactive prototype and functional specification for a new initiative.

Develop interactive prototype in Flash according to team specifications.

Work in cooperation with the UE Design Lead, Program Manager and Product Manager.

Produce all iterations of the interactive demo.

Work closely with development teams to ensure that design specifications can be implemented, making acceptable design adjustments as necessary.
Required Knowledge and Skills:

Expert in Flash programming for interactive applications.

Skilled at rapid prototyping methods.

Experience with Web technologies such as HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.

A passion for bringing the user’s perspective into the design and development process.

We are looking for an Interaction Designer to join the Business Objects User Experience team for North America, located in Vancouver, BC on a long-term contract basis. This position will be part of an international team of professionals who drive a User-Centered Design process and define the user experience of complex, rich-client applications.
The UE team is responsible for the user experience planning, design, and validation of the Business Objects suite of business intelligence query, reporting, and information infrastructure products. This role will work with the North American UE Design Lead, software development organization, product strategy, and sales teams to create user-centered business intelligence applications that are productive and satisfying to use.

Lead the user-centered design (UCD) process for the development of product features.

Work in cooperation with the Program Manager and Product Manager to define product features and functionality.

Plan, coordinate, and/or conduct all necessary UCD activities throughout the product lifecycle, including task analysis, conceptual modeling, cognitive walkthroughs, interaction design, graphic design, heuristic evaluation and usability testing.

Design and specify the user interaction with the product using participatory and iterative design techniques, including usability testing and other forms of user feedback.

Produce scenarios, flowcharts, wireframes, storyboards, prototypes, and interaction design specifications as necessary.

Work closely with development teams to ensure that design specifications can be implemented, making acceptable design adjustments as necessary.

Make use of specialized graphic design expertise from our team to complement your own skills.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
