Adultery: Is It Ever Justified?

best line:hmmm:

Then "count" is a justification, no?

Re: Adultery: Is It Ever Justified?

:hmmm:i think what he menat to say is that before religion there was this jahiliat which helped men justify adultery and they had as many women they wanted, and women in some parts were free to have as many different partners as tehy wanted, after religion however there’s no justification to it…and i havent heard of any religion that allows adultery…

Re: Adultery: Is It Ever Justified?

^ So marrying multiple women is not legalizing adultery?

What about sex slaves, which are allowed in Islam under certain circumstances?
As far as I know, most religions legalize adultery than prohibit it. As long as a man is doing it, it's all good.

Re: Adultery: Is It Ever Justified?

Nope.

Re: Adultery: Is It Ever Justified?

adultery is the act of having sexual relations with anyone else other than the person u're married to, or having such a relation with a married person-oxfrd dictionary

according to Islam a man can do nikkah(marriage) with upto 4women at a time 'provided' that he asks permission from his first wife(wives) and that he can take care of all of them equally. and so if the nikkah has taken place there's no question of adultery arising here according to the definition above frm oxfrd dictionary.
anything out of marriage is adultery, once both the individuals are married, there's no sin/crime of committing adultery, well unless and until the marriage is void due to some issue/circumstance or whatever.
but again we come to teh question, what are yr beliefs?:)
