a couple of years is a gross understatement. If you’re planning to do it in the States, you’re looking at around 4 years, typically 2 or 3 years of which you have to be a full-time student (depending on residency requirements of the program).
It might be worth considering if you’re interesting in research… it’s a different type of learning though - nothing like certifications, nothing like other professional graduate programs like the MBA which are based on coursework.
A lot depends on the type of program, the institution and the graduate program regulations.
