Well now that us kids are getting older…my parents would like to adopt a Pakistani boy or girl sometime this year..mashallah

what country are you in? If you're in the US it's a year long process that you need to start now so when you adopt the pakistani child you bring them over almost immediatly.
I have friends who adopted a girl through the edhi foundation last year. However they spent at least 10 months the year before going through the US legal adoption process before they went to pakistan so as to have the home/family check out/ legal procedings/paperwork ready so they could bring the baby over as soon as possible. My friend still had to wait about 3-4 week for the US consulate to see her and get her paperwork through but that was because they were prepared.

LP, you’re in my area, right? Try contacting the local mosques here in central NJ to get info. on who and how you can adopt Pakistani and/or Muslim children. I think that’s an awesome thing your parents will be doing. My parents’ family friends have adopted children as well and each time I see this kind of a thing, my heart fills with warmth. May God reward such people for their generosity.
Hey Sweet...yea I'm around ur area... my dad has contacted the masjid but I just wanted to ask and see what other people have done..it is great ..my parents have been wanting to do it for a long time..I mean its only fair that if u have the capabilities, u should provide some unfortunate muslim child with the love, upbringing, and oppurtunities u would give ur kids..they have the right to it too!
My dad jokes around saying I need another chance at raising a kid..I didn't do too good of a job on my other five :D
