Adopt A Hadith for a month...

Salam Alaikum everyone,

While sitting around, and listening to some lectures, I heard a beautiful hadith. I will paraphrase it below, and then come to the topic:

‘Make things easy for others in this world, and Allah may make things easy on The Day of Judgement. Give people a good bargain in this Dunya, so that when Allah asks you why you deserve to enter Jannah when good deed fall short, you can say ‘I have one other thing Allah! I used to give people an easy bargain in the world. {If you’re a businessman, a shopkeeper and you made it easy for your customers to do business with you and made it easy for them to buy essentials}’ Maybe Allah will turn to you and say: And on this day I will give you a good bargain…’

Right, so now on to topic. We are blessed, and fortunate enough to have a vast treasure of saheeh ahadith that point out the simplest of things we can do to enter Jannah.

So, would it be so hard if we just decided to adopt-a-hadith for the sake of Allah’s pleasure. Just consider forcing it upon yourself like a routine for a month, inshaAllah if sincerity is there and it pleases Allah, it might become a permanent part of our personalities. Just one good deed done with the intention of pleasing Allah might become the difference between Jannah or Jahannam.

That’s not to say that we should stop doing other things that are required of us as muslims. But one hasanah can often open doors to other hasanat which may lead to us becoming better muslims, inshaAllah.

All thoughts on this are welcome. JazakAllah.

:wsalam: & Peace Teggy Bhai,

:jazak: for such a nice post and may Almighty Allah rewards you for your this good effort. I believe one can claim that “I, for the sake of Yours (Almighty Allah) taught good phrase to others so I deserve Jannah”, hope so

Well, back the point, I daily read one hadith and discuss it with my colleagues/do research for a week/month (depends) and try my best to understand as well as memorize it.
