If you only want to create PDF, there is a free software available
called primo pdf

this can create from anything to pdf

For desktop apps, I’m not familiar with any “free” utilities… I use DeskPDF myself but it’s a paid for product.

The thing you get from deskPDF is same as you get from PrimoPDF , but it is free

Not sure,
there is an option button while creating a pdf, but I didn't play with that, I just created a simple pdf, may b there is, may b not
