On Thursday, the airport authorities stopped Adnan Sami’s mother, Naureen Khan, from getting on the plane heading to Karachi from Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport because of the charges pressed by Adnan’s ex-wife, Sabah Galadari against Adnan and his parents.
However, they later found out that the courts had dismissed the charges just hours ago. His mother is now headed to Islamabad via Karachi on Wednesday.
Adnan confirmed the news and said that he couldn’t understand why this had to happen with his mother. All she wanted was to go and attend his father’s kachcha (temporary) grave in their ancestral town.
Adnan admits to feeling like boxer Muhammad Ali when George Foreman challenged him in the boxer’s ring. But Ali fought harder every time he was pushed to the wall.
He feels that Sabah would lose everything if he fought against her, but he is simply not doing that just because he is not a nasty person. He is happy that the courts have cleared his name and even proved that she wasn’t his wife according to Islamic rites.
