true that when people post up pictures on the net they kinda become public
however shouldnt Gupshup have some policy bout ‘Not tampering with other Member’s pics’
I think there should be such a policy since Gupshup has an Image thread
It should be understood by members that the pics posted up by other members are just there for viewing only
and they shouldnt edit, tamper or whatever with me
I further do think that members who fail to understand this concept should be, if not banned, detained from the board for some time
This is Gupshup not some other site on the net, people here follow some rules which has made this site a clean and interesting place

But we can only rely on the good judgement of the members to be that way. Any action taken against anyone doesnt neccesarily ensure the problem will stop. People can just as easily copy the files on their hard drives. However, for the most part, in the life of this image gallery, I have seen people to have behaved themselves, and hope it continues to be so.
The responsibility goes both ways though. If a person posts their pic after defacing it themselves, that kinda sends a message that Im game. You set the standards urself in each case. For people who have posted their pics as is, I havent seen any horsing around. But if someone defaces their pic and posts it here, that shows ur open to humor, even though that might not be true. But u cant tell that to everyone individually. Some will see the joke, and laugh it off, and others(very few others) will take it a step further.

If i own a thing, then its my right to do anything with it
color, cut, copy, edit, delete
that doesnt mean that everyone else is allowed to do so too
If people want to play around, then they can do so with their own pics not at the expense of others
The message you just sent out was totally uncalled for and unethical

I'll be the first one to admonish someone who does that. I think u missed my point by a couple of miles.
If u post a message saying, "Hey barish, heres my tel. number. 12334567. Give me a call tonite. Do u expect she will be the only person to call? I was just trying to be realistic. Yes, in a perfect world, Id love to maintain all the rights to everything i own EVEN after putting it in a public domain, but realistically thats not possible. The admin cant possibly go to every members house and check their PCs to see if they saved any pic posted here in the image gallery. The logical responsibility, to begin with, always lies with the person who posts the pic. And then comes the ethical responsibility, which lies with all the viewers. And while we can teach a person logic, we cannot teach them ethics. Thats something we have to trust them on. And if we dont trust them, then we shouldnt post our pics.....especially after doctoring them ourselves.
I havent stated that you should be taking rounds all over the world checking members' pcs
I merely stated that there should be some kinda action taken to let people who do stuff like this, know that it is not acceptable in the eyes of Gupshup
Members have been banned for using profanity, advertising websites waghera waghera
you surely didnt go to their houses to check if they were using profanity at home...
they were banned because they were going against the rules of gupshup
so why not the same here
why not members be detained or banned if they mess with the pics of other members?
I agree action should be taken, and was taken in Barish's case. The pic was deleted and the person was warned. If he continues his shananigans, im sure the next course of action will be something similar to whats done with people using profane language.
But there is a stark difference between profane language and pictures. Profane language is just words, and once deleted, they are gone. But pictures, they are material stuff. Once deleted, we cant be sure they are gone. Someone could very easily copy them, so we have to keep that in mind. So we have to be a bit more careful with them. Wont u agree?

People post their pics here to share with you. When they do that they are showing some trust in you. Violating this trust is a display of immaturity, disrespect and ungratefulness.
Anyone entertaining thoughts of tampering with pics posted should simply “grow up”.

azia- how well do you know any of these guppos to do that to their picture? are you in there somewhere?...fun is fun, dumb is dumb. (and i am not saying that you are, but that your actions were careless.) yes- if we have to be scrutinized for posting our pics, you should be too.

it goes like keh.. some ppl r mentally sick.. they always seem to b attracted to the negativity of the things.. the pic azia fondled with was of moi bros.. but it was healthy not mean but as i have been reading somthing wrong happening in past.. i would certainly not encourage this practise..
and this trust we will we have and we r creating among us.. should be a very impacible bond.. joining ourfeelings emotions hearts over freaking bits and bytes..
