I don't care what anyone says or even stats are against them in this WC. But they were heroes and legends. Sad part is..we as a nation forget the sacrifices and heroism of individuals like these in cricket. Many times..they have taken Pakistan team out of impossible situations. Khair..Thank you Misbah and Afridi for everything. Now we have look into polishing rest of the cricket team. And please bring, Muhammed Hafeez, Fawad Alam, Umar Gul, Saeed Ajmal. Insha'Allah..no matter what people say about our cricket team. We are known to give our opponents surprise, shock and awe. We should continue with this spirit. And play good cricket!.

Sure both will be missed. One by the people looking for sixes all the time. Other who like serious cricket . Afridi's bowling of last few years will be missed.

Both are not legend in my opinion. Though services of Misbah will be remembered for the country while services of Afridi will be for the swashbucklers .

If T20 started earlier , Afridi may have been replaced in ODI much earlier.

afridi has won the most MoM awards for Pakistan. Doesn't that count for something?

I fail to understand though how Misbah got so much hate from Pakistani fans. He took over when Pakistan was rocking from spot fixing scandal. He stablised the team/middle order and gave some memorable victories both in ODIs and tests.

We are a fickle lot

I think the criticism Misbah is receiving is a bit unfair given that he managed to hold the team together through the QFs, where the team could have performed much worse than they did. You can't help but blame the media for putting ginormous expectations on the team where the bar was set so high that it would be nearly impossible to reach the WC and win every game.

The media being the media criticizes all players regardless of the performance, its just a matter of the players ignoring the so called 'analysts' and going out to just play their natural game.

Afridi in his prime was no doubt was a great player/ all rounder and has reached his climax and steadily declined by averaging under 35 runs per game and playing only for himself and not the team.
