- My real first name is Asma and my parents gave me this name. Do I like it, ermm :–D If it was in my hands, I would have chosen Rebecca for myself.
Waisay, Asma IMHO is an arabic word which means appellations" or “prestige” in Arabic.
Asma is also derived from Ism meaning ‘name’'…for e.g., Asma-ul-husna.
