Just out of curiosity…what do you have ur kids call you? Ammi, mom, mommy, mamma…papa, daddy, pop, paa-jee..etc?

Older one calls me Mama and her dad Papa.
Choti calls me mummy and her dad, Paapee or Daddy.

Older one calls me Mama and her dad Papa. Choti calls me mummy and her dad, Paapee or Daddy.
Me too!! Well most of the time. It's almost always Mama (pronounced maa-ma as opposed to muh-ma). But if I'm unhappy or trying to express my displeasure, it'll become Mother.
For my dad, it's usually Papa, but if I'm trying to ingratiate myself or wheedle something out of him - it'll be Daddy.

she picked these names herself.

ammi, ammi jaan, mama, mom, mommy, babuska (don't ask), seniorita (when Dilwalay came out), nani

My nephew is one yr and 3 months old. He calls his mother AMMA. he has learnt it by himself.
To his father, he sometimes call AMMA and sometimes BABA. but mostly its AMMA to him also.
My first born used to call us exactly these names, Mama and Dada, though we are trying to teach him the pushto words, Mor Jaan and Daaji. That’s what he calls us now. The one year old calls me botaan (Mor Jaan in her language I guess) and Taati (Daaji)

I call my parents Ammi-Abbu. Hubby calls his Mum-Dad.
He wants baby to call him Papa. I want Ammi, though when I speak to her I refer to myself as Mama. I think it'll be Mama-Papa.

There was a phase when I loved calling my mother 'amma'...I liked it,she did not...:(
I will love to have my kids call me ammi too,although I think I will be fine with mama too. My husband wants to be called abu....and he is kinda particular about it.

I am MAMA & he is Baba. I called my parents ammi jaan, abu jaan. I want kids to call him Abu but he prefers baba
